CHRYSLER AND GM BANKRUPTCIES: WIPING OUT THE

RIGHTS OF CATASTROPHICALLY-INJURED VICTIMS

WHAT IT MEANS FOR CONSUMERS

According to the Chrysler bankruptcy plan, families driving any Chrysler now on the road (more than 10 million vehicles), whose occupants are severely injured in a collision or otherwise because the car was not made safely, will have no recourse against the company. The GM bankruptcy proposes the same thing (more than 30 million vehicles).*

My Mom

 

On the evening of August 3, 2008 at the intersection of Cedar Street near 6th Street in Forestville, Michigan, then fifty-five year old mother and grandmother, My mom Linda Catalano had just completed a garage sale and had left her home located at 5510 Cass River Road, Minden City to pick up some garage sale signs remaining along the road. She was driving east on Cedar Street in Forestville in a 1997 Chrysler Town & Country Mini-Van when she stopped the vehicle along the roadway to pick up some of her signs.
